I Pray The Lord
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.”
As I lay my head down tonight
I close my eyes to see a light
The light disappears and I hear screams
Everything is black then I see white
Nothing makes sense in my dreams
How come I have to fight?
I prayed for the Lord my soul he takes
So why must I endure these dark nights
And when morning comes my heart and soul aches
Instead of seeing the Lord’s light…I see the day lights
I prayed for him my soul to take
But everyday I seem to wait
He is playing me at night until I wake
My faith and loyalty turns to hate
“Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take
