Far from a Lie
He finds these words
But it’s a dream
Out of the corner of her eye
Inside out of her mind
Cool on the outside
Swooning at his sight
He’s ice too
She knows
He wants them to be words
He finds this poetry
But it’s imagery
Look for three
Catch her reflection by accident
An exchange of insecurities
She knows
He wants it to be poetry
He finds these lies
But it’s faith entangled
Eager threads of preordained demise
Breathe in the air if she can’t compare
If he is who he used to be
Does he want them to be lies?
