Vision
I'm rushing through the darkness,
plunging on ahead.
Thorns ripping through,
my deep feeling of dread.
"Death would be a release,
just come and take me home."
That's exactly what I read,
in my own dusty tome.
Ravens caw through the black,
the silence is now dead.
There is no back to turn,
as through the darkness I am led.
You read this now and you think,
this girl wants to die.
But you'll soon realize,
what I want is to fly.
