MY human SOul
My human soul
My god exhaled into my chest
A piece of him beneath my breast
The orb of white that’s called a soul
And placed me here amongst the rest
He told me then to keep it pure
The time of death would be unsure
The tempter tries to play his game
To kill the orb- persuade and lure
Somewhere written in the sky
Is the time in which I’ll die
I’ll try to obey the orders told
To live my life and complete my goal
When it’s said and when it’s done
And the battles of life are overcome
I’ll be free of my material home
And reunited with the son
Holding air and breathing dirt
No longer thinking or alert
I’ll take with me nothing when I leave this earth
But the fragile soul I was given at birth
