The Bench

The bench,
That rests lonely,
Waiting to not only support your weight but listen to your sorrows.
The bench,
That does not complain,
no matter how long you wish to rest your tired feet.
The bench,
That provides a home to anyone or anything,
Whether it be a flitting bird, chewed and discarded gum, or a tired work-man like yourself.
The bench,
That does not discriminate, complain, that will suppport you and listen,
The bench,
That is the perfect friend.
