Bench
The bench at the park used to be our spot
Kisses and arguments were held
Me on your lap,
Us looking into each others eyes.
It was the meeting place.
A small, hidden playground
With two grotesque swings
A dirty little slide and
Wind that blew ever so softly
No children around to ruin the mood…
But it’s been a while since we’ve been apart.
I’m over you but you’re not over me
I’ve moved on and found a new bench at a different park
How can I sit with him and not remember you?
