Darfur and Uganda
See the hell that is Darfur,
A black mark on a black continent.
What could be the cure?
Surely not a well-armed regiment.
In the jungle, the lion sleeps,
But Kony is awake.
As the family weeps,
All the children quake.
To think that we allow,
Such an occurrence.
Take a shameful bow,
Should this* provide assurance.
Yes, this must be done,
But with care and with love.
There is no justice in violence: None.
Answer crime with a dove.
*This single poem cannot be enough. I am only one person.
