Frightened Eyes
Awakened eyes that fear the day,
No man shall seek me as his prey,
A flash before my eyes draws near,
I see his face which brings me fear.
He stalked me deep into the night,
He stole my soul and showed me fright,
He kept me captive – took my joy,
He made me scared of every boy.
Haunting face and those wicked eyes,
They scare me daily to no surprise!
My soul yearns for solace and peace,
My heart aches for a good night’s sleep.
He stalked me deep into the night,
He stole my soul and showed me fright,
He kept me captive – took my joy,
He made me scared of every boy.
