There But Gone
No movement comes about,
No words, no laughs, and no loud shouts,
Her entertainment is to sleep,
Her joy is in counting sheep,
Happiness seems a 1,000 miles away,
She can’t walk or even utter a word today,
The gleam in her bright blue eyes has diminished,
She wants to be done; Her race is finished,
She knows her purpose and her meaning,
God is so close… just start leaning,
One last breath, Grandma, finish the race,
Heaven is waiting for your beautiful face,
Happiness seems a 1,000 miles away,
She can’t walk or even utter a word today,
The gleam in her bright blue eyes has diminished,
She wants to be done; Her race is finished.
