Failure
The sound of shattering glass pierces the air
As my dreams come crashing down around me
My ambitions have come to a stop
Killed by failure, my dreaded enemy
But failure is something we can’t avoid
So please tell me, what am I to do?
We are to learn from each of our mistakes
As long as the sky above is blue
As figure skaters must fall to learn a jump
Likewise, we benefit from failure, too.
Successes and failures – a part of life
Second chances – new with each morning’s dew
So learn from failures, like a skater
And it will bring you successes later
