Armageddon
This world of lies
Of fakes and futilities
Will one day end.
And where will you be?
On top of the world
To look fate in the eyes,
Or down on the ground
As blood rains from the skies?
People dying,
Turning to ash
And fading away.
Sunlight darkens,
And night is day.
The awesome array
Of stars in the sky
Forever gone
As all goes awry.
As he walks the Earth
In a black cloak
Hungrier than in millennia
Harvesting all he can get
A bony hand closes
Upon a fleshy wrist.
And all fades,
Into ignorant bliss
