Listening to the Birds
I think that the Birds know everything,
Then they tell the Trees,
Whisper what they know and everything they see,
Say it with all the Truth they keep,
Somewhere in the Woods so deep.
I wonder if the Birds know everything,
Listen to the Hunters talk,
And tell the Deer where not to walk,
Because they haven't seen anything,
And the should have seen something.
I hope that the Birds know everything,
So they can scare the Squirrels away,
Keep them safe the entire day,
Keep them from Harm,
Show them where its warm.
I wish that the Birds knew everything,
Squawk at every suspicious thing,
Maybe if the other listen to them Sing,
Maybe they would live to be alive,
Maybe if they knew everything, Someone would listen to something, Maybe they would listen to the Birds.
