If I could, I would take it back
I'm sorry for thinking I meant something to you,
for being there to listen, for having your back,
I should have thought about how YOU would feel,
before giving my all and expecting something back
Some things are better unsaid, I wish I had stopped,
to thing about our friendship and the girl you liked,
before telling you my feelings like somebody desperate,
somebody stupid, somebody nice
enough to care about your feelings,
listen to your song,
and wait, hoping on the bleachers,
for the chance to sing along
I'm sorry for thinking I meant something to you,
because I obviously didn't,
and now, I miss you.
