Something to Ponder
While weeping willows waited,
And drowsy dandelions daydreamed,
As Autumn asked as when to arrive,
And leaves prepared for final dives,
When Winter worked wonders to the woods,
On a lonely log I stood,
Watching a brown, baby bird,
Lift his wings, and learn to fly,
And as he soared, the leaves turned green.
