Surrender to Me
She walks in yellow shoes
Leaving sunrise, sunsets on the horizon
Her voice sings studded blues
Feeling all the leaves that wizen
Her eyes reflecting life
Her eyes reflecting sin
Her eyes reflecting truth
Her eyes reflecting me
Surrender to me
The flowers in the pits of mud bloom
Trees grow tall and into themselves
Reactions fade from a static filled plume
And all became a note in your bookshelves
The words describing life
The words describing sin
The words describing truth
The words describing me
Surrender to me
And she grows up from feathers and glitter
From storybooks and fairytales and faith
And all these things they settle somewhere in her
And she becomes a glorious wraith
Its haunts disturbing life
Its haunts disturbing sin
Its haunts disturbing truth
Its haunts disturbing me
Surrender to me
Clouds begin to stain the windows
And the nightime stains the walls
It darkens all the stuccoes
And the rain then leaps and falls
And this pours into life
And this pours into sin
And this pours into truth
And this pours into me
Surrender to me
And all the spirits in the world know her name
They whisper it with a satisfying lull
This cold rumor that brings about her fame
Rested on her head a crown of laurel
The crown belongs to life
The crown belongs to sin
The crown belongs to truth
The crown belongs to me
Surrender to me
Always chasing a ticking clock
We try to find more time
Wanting for the days we wrote in chalk
When our lives were less sublime
Long for a new life
Long for a new sin
Long for a new truth
Long for a new me
Surrender to me
Their eyes are made of ice
And they keep themselves on me
But with one roll of the dice
I know some one will get me free
I'm gambling with life
I'm gambling with sin
I'm gambling with truth
I'm gambling with me
Surrender to me
I'm following her footsteps
To a chamber made of glass
And I find myself taking sidesteps
From the reflection of my mass
My eyes reflecting life
My eyes reflecting sin
My eyes reflecting truth
My eyes reflecting me
And I surrender to me
