Tim, Jim, and the hole horrid lot
Tim and Jim and their sister Kim
They hated each other until the end
Because in the begging the boys hurt Kim
Now we’ll go back in time to fill you in
Now Tim was nine and Jim was eight
Apart by a year and perhaps a few days
See Kim was the youngest and so hard to find
Because she was invisible, one of a kind
Kim found herself the target of all their pranks
They laughed and poked fun at Kim’s translucent face
They spoke of how no one would ever love
A girl they can’t see, thus wouldn’t speak of
While one day the boys were playing in the mud
Their attention was caught by a small muffled ‘thud’
When they looked toward the sound to see what it had been
They saw a young girl with large eyes and small chin
When she wiped away the mud they saw through her mask
And I mean this quite literally they both drew a gasp
For the first time in history they laid eyes on Kim
And then the idea came, it first came to Tim
He told Kim to stay put and led Jim away
And informed him of the plan they regret to this day
And when Jim agreed fully, they told Kim to come
“We have a surprise to for you, a surprise you will love”
They led Kim away and into a room
While she gladly followed, so little she knew
They told her to stay put in said little room
She thought all was well, she’d know otherwise soon
While the parents were gone and Kim was in her place
They got a book of matches and a few of their things
Then the two young brothers set a flame to their house
They watched the flame grow, the flame they should have doused
As their home turned to ashes the boys walked away
They laughed on the inside, and outside the same
When the parents arrived the boys told of a candle
A candle that a small girl hadn’t known how to handle
They said they’d had time to gather some things
That they hadn’t found Kim, but they had heard her screams
So the boys and the parents alike could believe
That their young daughter Kim hadn’t happened to live
