Ash and Bone
You turned to ash and bone,
Became a shadow of the night,
And left me here alone.
You are buried now, beneath a stone,
Nevermore to see the light,
You turned to ash and bone.
By my own hand, how you did moan,
Never did put up a fight,
And left me here alone.
The shadows came to take their own,
Of you again I’ll never see the sight.
You turned to ash and bone.
I reap the seeds of what I’ve sown,
How gently you faded to the final respite.
And left me here alone.
My actions now I need to own,
Because of me your soul took flight.
You turned to ash and bone,
And left me here alone.
