Empty promises
Empty promises
Every time I turn around
Shattered lies
All around me
I don’t want to deal
With this anymore
I’m sick of listening to songs
Written by broken hearts
I’m tired of listening to my tears
Pounding on the hard floor
I’m done with all the lies,
All the stupid empty promises.
You look over at me now
You smile, give me just a little wink
You promised you were gonna be there
You said you were done with hiding stuff
You held your breath, hoping I’d fall for it again
Well, baby, you’re stuck out of luck
And
I’m sick of listening to the songs
Written for broken hearts
I’m tired of hearing all of my tears
Crashing onto the ground all around me
I’m done with all the dishonesty
All the worthless hollow fake promises
I look at you, you look at me
I shake my head, just walk away
You say you love me but there you go
Walking into the arms of some other girl
So sick of listening to love songs
Written just for the broken hearts
So tired of ending up in tears again
Of seeing them all around my floor
So done with wishing you could go back now
All the pointless little lies
