....Standing Tall
Im begging you to listen,
begging you to hear,
asking you to trust me,
needing to face this fear.
Im sobbing into the phone,
where your voice weakens me.
Crumpling to the ground
to escape the agony.
Though you do not realize
the pain that i endure..
I'm longing for the mercy
from the anger in my core.
So, breathing in
rising up
this time i refuse
to simply shut up.
Drying my tears
standing tall
I tell you i wont do this
and end the phone call.
I cannot break down again...
will fight, stand my ground
until the battle ends
