The Moment
Your eyes hold me captive,
Time slows and the world seems to fall at our feet,
Its just you and I on this little cloud,
Flying up higher and higher into the sky,
Until I’m forced to wonder if the others could see us,
So high in the clouds,
I remember that I need to breath,
And take a gasp of sweet air,
Forgetting everything that has come before,
Or will fallow after this perfect moment,
There in your eyes I am stunned,
Paralyzed by the thought,
Of swimming in those eyes,
Surrounded by your gentle embrace,
Floating through the pools of time,
Holding close moments like this,
Where everything slips away,
If only to steal this perfect moment,
For you and me,
Locked in the crevasse of my heart,
To be reborn as another moment
Every time I get lost into those eyes,
That hold me a willing prisoner,
And makes the world fall to my feet,
Filling me with something more deeply rooted,
Than love itself.

I really loved this; it was beautifully written. I have never heard of eyes being so captivating. I searched for what I usually mark as my 'favorite lines' but found that the entirety of the poem was appealing. Please keep writing!
