My Heart and the Moonflower's Sonata
The moonflower's tune,
After silver moons,
Helplessly sighs.
My grieving heart rings,
As the flowers sing,
How the time went by.
Exhausted and forlorn,
Suns rays make them mourn
As dawn begins.
I have no new start,
No forgiving heart,
No time to mend.
And my soul is dead,
Closed off by the dread
Of shattered dreams.
The flowers confine,
Reminding my mind,
What alone means.
