I was sure all I needed to learn from you were my ABC's

However, you taught so much more to me.

You taught me how to love,

And that each day is a gift from above.

From you, I learned not to lie,

and to never let an opportunity pass by.

Be grateful for every smell gift.

You said a that a prayer would always give me a lift.

There's more to life than 1,2,3

I learned from you the best things are free.

Of course, you taught me how to read,

And you provided me with the things I need.

You taught me to speak up

because I have the right.

Never go without a fight.
