Catching Tomorrow
First day that I saw him
My heart just gave away
I could tell he was something special
But there was nothing I could say
They don't really get it
They can't understand how I feel
But everyday I grow more sure
That what I'm feeling is real
They think it is funny
So, I too, joke around
But I'm serious about this
I wish I could scream it loud
They say, Just forget him
They tell me he's much too old
But its easier said than done
To him, my heart is sold
In a way, I guess they're right
He doesn't care for me
Regardless of what I feel
Together, we'll never be
Even so, it's pointless to try
I wouldn't know where to start
So I try to catch tomorrow
Just me and my shattered heart
