A Question
What happens when smoke clouds tip into the sky,
When the birds lose their homes in the clouds,
When the glossy glass windows are tinted with red,
And the gleaming new gold reflects doubts.
When the gray of up high turns from steel to drift ash,
When the bright shiny blue disappears,
When the vapors of black replace pillars of wood,
When the embers of hope turn to real.
What happens when those polished buildings fall down,
When the light hits behind at the lies,
When the bright covered bones of the monster are found,
And the smoke that they hide fills the sky.
