Death Upon Me
Dear Lord, May you please relay this message to whom it is intended,
I dont know about this feeling you got me feelin','
I now spend my nights all alone,
Looking for the cloud with your name on it,
Just so we can speak again,
I look up,
But,
Its never there,
I used to love listening to your voice speak to me like I was listening to a sweet melody,
Now iI hate that its evading me,
Ive been dead since you died,
Its been a year and four months since I took my last breath,
No one ever taught me how to survive death,
Or this much pain and agony,
Or how to accept you being taken from me,
If for one night only,
I could see you in my dreams,
Just to tell you I miss you,
Just to hug you for one last time,
Your last words to me were "Your Welcome",
And I wish those words were "I Love You",
So that I could always and forever reminisce,
On our two intertwined lives,
I love you Grandma,
But since you've been gone,
Suffering has flooded my heart and mind.
