Today I woke up
it took me years to swim to shore, hours to find my legs.
Yawn stretching my mouth as wide as I could and all my dreams seeped right out. Laid half-awak, half-asleep on my good side.
All I know fell out of my ear, soaked my pillow full of knowledge, i forgot my name.
Clawed my way out of the warm fortress.
The ground found my feet and held me steady.
My eyes groggy, sleep pulling me back; arms bruised reason held me fending off sweet R.E.M.
Called out but I'm swallowing sand my throats so dry I've got no voice.
The frozen sea within me weighs me down, anchors me in front of the mirror starring though the muggy windows of my brown eyes.
Black rings make me sea sick.
Rushing to fit on my sailor suit realizing it's 2x to small
unprepared to steer my ship, below i can hear my bed calling me out but reason eludes me:
The sea swallows me whole.
