Prayer To GOd
I kneel beside my bed,
As I bow my head.
I say a soft prayer,
Trying to make things fair.
I tried to ask God why,
But all I managed was a sigh.
I tried to force the tears back,
But I knew, to God, acting I lacked.
I knew how things worked,
That devilish spirits lurked.
I pray for faith and hope,
But all I feel is a big fat Nope.
I pray that God will save us all,
But some people don't believe in God's call.
Maybe, just maybe, people will love him as I do,
So they'll get prayers answered too.
