Colony People
There is no point to what we think, feel or see.
It'll always amount to nothing and nothing's what we'll be.
Forgotten and lost, a sailor at sea.
We'll be the tiger in a cage, never free.
Wrap me in the silk womb of faith
Hold me in the arms of the way.
Feed me the fruit of life.
Cover my eyes, let me die by the knife.
Everlasting torture in my soul.
My mind's losing all its control.
We're all reaping what we sew.
It's the right way, or so we're told.
Isolating myself from the colony people.
Bait on hook as they run to the pillars.
Amalgamating as they fall one by one.
Fate in their hands, the bombs are our suns.
There's no point to what we think, feel or see.
Is this really all we're meant to be?
This isn't the way we're meant to be run.
Having freedom, yet having none.
Keeping my distance.
I quietly listen.
Forgetting my place.
The world is gone....
