Downfall
Caged in the remnants of yesterday
Hiding from a lost tomorrow
Angst is eating joy away
Replacing it with needless sorrow
The beast stalks through
The wait, the worry
Won’t move, can’t do
I’m sorry, sorry!
Words are twisted
Sleep is bliss
No use for the
Uselessness
Can’t face the world
I’m trapped within
Guilt is etched
Upon the skin
Dismal lingers
Mouth stitched tight
Blinded by a
Flawless sight
Oppressed, ashamed
On grief I lay
Now is now
But yesterday.
