&quot;Write what you care about and understand. Writers should never try to outguess the marketplace in search of a salable idea; the simple truth is that all good books will eventually find a publisher if the writer tries hard enough, and a central secret to writing a good book is to write on that people like you will enjoy.&quot;<br /> Richard North Patterson

I find it relaxing
The pencil in my hand
Shapes, shades, and other things I make
The feel of an eraser fixing all mistakes
The blank page becoming something grand
Fueled by my imagination
I draw
And draw
Figments of my imagination
Becoming alive on the page
Given a voice they speak
And tell a story
Whether others see it
And listen
Is their choice
