monologue
Dear diary,
It was a day of happiness and a night of sorrow. A year ago from today I woke up with a joy in my heart, the day was October 28, 1889, my 16th birthday. Today was the day I get my horse and am able to ride alone! All day long we prepare for the big party with all my friends. I am finally an adult and can be on my one for once, but the night came. My best friend and I were leaving the party and I knew that I shouldn’t let her ride her horse home, but I did. She was half way home when she ran into another horse, fell off and got ran over! Now what do I do? What do I tell everyone? I just watched someone I love die! What do I do now?
It’s been a whole year and I still remember what happened, and today is my birthday and I still haven’t ridden my horse or been to any parties, I think this year I’m not having a party, I think we should have a memorial for her.
