   A summer sky of canned clouds

with artificial, just-add-water blue,

oceans of cellophane,

rivers of glass

full of rubber-scaled fish;

green shag carpet

lines the ground

strewn with delicate flowers

of cardboard and paper bright.

Wind-up stuffed animals

scurry about

performing on calico, nylon trees;

and mechanical people walk around

programmed to eternally appear content.

Hmm. This is well-written, but I tend to think that the clouds are supposed to be there, and animals aren't wind-up. Besides, would it matter if we were programed to always think we were content? I mean, as long as people think that they are content, why not leave them that way? It's not like it would make such a difference if we only thought we were content instead of actually being content. Oh, also, I tend to think that I'm organic, not mechanical.
