Postmarked Yesteryear MAG
You were supposed to write me.
What happened? Did your letter
get lost in the mail?
I hoped that letter would
explain a few open-ended
pieces of sky
you left behind.
Is it lying on your desk somewhere?
Unfinished because
you had so much to say
or never started
because you had nothing to reveal.
I have something to say
even though you may not listen;
my words and questions are
never-ending.
I have tried to write them down.
If they don't make any sense
don't worry.
I asked the postman;
he said a letter can't be sent to
yesteryear.
