Summer Moon

Nobody knows how cold the summer wind blows
When you’re underneath a summer sky and you’re feeling so alone
The end of this night couldn’t have come too soon
I’m one of a crowd but I feel it’s just me and the moon
Wandering the street with the days troubles written on my face
I envy the stars cause’ even they know their place
Emotions keep me puzzled
What’s wrong and what’s right
But I’ll ponder my direction on this cold summer’s night
The moon in the sky never seems to fade away
Unlike those around me; because you can never count on them to stay
Take my hand and don’t let it go
Through time loyalty found will be a story told
Through time everything will change
And will see who will remain
Things will change but remain the same
Nobody knows how cold the summer wind blows
When you’re feeling all alone with no one to hold
I’ve shed all the tears I can
I look at what I’ve become
I’m starting to believe
I’m going a little bit numb
Don’t ask me where I’m going
I have no destination
Taking a walk under the moon and all the constellations
If you’ve come to find me
You couldn’t have come too soon
I’m going nowhere down this street
Underneath a summer moon

This is now my favorite poem! You had great form and the rhyming didn't sound forced, but natural. Loved it!

This as great. I can totally picture you walking down some lonely sidewalk looking up at the stars and thinking this.
