What If Darkness
What if,
Just for one day
The sun never rose,
And brightened our way.
Cloud would have nothing to shade,
Nothing to protect us against.
Darkness would creep up,
And cast a shadow across the earth.
And what if,
Just for one night,
The moon never came to life.
In darkness there is no light.
And if the moon never came,
What would the stars dance near?
Shooting stars are no more,
To wipe away a child’s fear.
In darkness there is no hope.
With no sun, warmth is no more.
Everything goes into hibernation.
No birds can soar.
Let your mind wander.
Imagination is your light.
Never give up,
And make it through the night!
