I’m not an open book for the world to read
Like a diary you got to have a key.
With a world so deceiving,
My eyes won’t be revealing.

I’m not figured out.
And like i
I’m irrational
Not too confrontational.

I stand up,
Fall again.
I’m a saint.
Yet I faint.

A martyr at heart
Since it’s dead and gone
Good intentions
Gone all wrong.

Good people don’t win
Never recognized
Till they tumble
Down the hill of sin.

Shovel through the s***
Of people,
Mindless creatures
Inhabiting space

Yet I still keep a smile
On my face
Just another day
To embrace

Keep your head up
When you’re drowning.
And listen to your heart
When it’s pounding.

Open your eyes
Don’t miss a thing
Before you know it
You’re six feet in.
