Fairy Feet Girl
My little girl, though she isn't mine
She's got plenty who love her and plenty of time
To pick and choose who will win or lose
To say who goes and who stays.
But she's my little girl, though she isn't mine
Mine to hug and to play and read nursery rhymes
Stories of a princess who shares her name
Kind and just, whose beauty is famed
But soon she'll have school, and friends to go meet
Soon there'll be a Prince Charming sweeping her off her feet
Makeup and movies and expensive toys
No time for sister, more time for boys
For now she tilts back and laughs, not a care in the world
Unaware that she's still my favorite little girl
A sprite spinning through grass on bare fairy feet fly
I know I can't help but love her till the day I die.
