Favorite Quote:
"Numquam finitur, donec vita finiatur."
- K. D'Angelo Alexander

Don’t cry, just flash a smile

It’ll only be a while

Until you find peace

Don’t fret, not worth your time

Just clear your mind

With that dopamine

All things come to an end,

And begin again;

Patience is the key

Why try, to escape life?

Take her advice:

Try to be happy

Move on, don’t ruminate

No need to hate

Soon you will see

What God, if He exists

Will do with this

Constant suffering

All things have a meaning

It’s just the beginning

Of your great story

Just smile, embrace the pain

Cleanse with the rain

That falls at your feet

Look up, at the bright sky

And realize

You have what you need

To be something divine

Give it sometime

Someday you’ll achieve

What you hope and dream:

To be somebody

It’s all meant to be

Remember, you’re not nothing

And one last thing

Listen to your dreams

The author's comments:

This is a motivational poem to myself, as I often contemplate what makes life worth it.

It’s a reminder to just smile, and be happy. To try to ignore, or cope healthily with the negative things in life, instead of self-destructive temporary reliefs such as drug-use.

In essence, it is encouraging myself to “get hooked” on the wonderful experiences and beautiful things life has to offer, instead of getting caught in a loop of rumination, and ill-feelings.
