My Mid-Summer Dream
I awake with the sweet memory
Of you holding me
In my perfect dream that’s reality
I feel the whisper of your touch
Hear the song of your voice
But it’s not enough
I see the truth in every action
It’s what you do so I relax and wait
To see your face
On another day
And finally I’ll hear you say
Those three remarkable words
That directs the flight of my heart
Like the wind directs the birds
And I’ll not only fall, but I’ll drown in you
Immersing myself in the sound of you
And I really don’t know what I’ve found in you
But I’ll do what I have to
To be bound by you
So simply put your self near me
You will never have anything to fear from me
And everyday it grows clear to me that
Being without you
I can’t bear to be
