Swimming in the Windows of Your Soul
Ancient worlds swim in your eyes
Behind which dwells your archaic soul,
Ceasing to live but never to die,
Drifting through pasts and stories untold.
Existence itself, your eyes question its ways,
For they rebel against laws of time.
Grand wisdom found in a youthful gaze
Haunts my restricted, logical mind.
I have never dived into a soul so deep,
Just those shallow, simple, and dark.
Knowledge, and treasures of life, your eyes keep,
Lighting my soul whenever they spark.
Metaphors cannot describe their expanse,
Nor can words, songs, or thousand poems.
Only attempts can I make, but without a chance.
Passion like yours can be painted by no one.
Questions and answers begin to melt,
Resting as one in those midnight lakes.
Something I never before have felt
Tries to, from my lips, escape.
Under a trance, your eyes do have me,
Voyaging where I can never turn back.
What once was "you" now becomes "we."
X my heart with eternity's pact.
Your eyes, your soul, reveal it all.
Zenithal gazes will be my heart's fall.
