As the clear blue ocean rushed in, the water caught both girls by surprise. The color of blue glistening on the tops of the water, the smell of salt stung my nose with a bitter sweetness, and the feeling of absolute bliss rushed over both of us. Even though we weren’t together, the ocean still brought us closer with the magical experience.

The transportation was a little rocky as one of us was stuck on a plane then in a car to get to the boat and the other was stuck in a hot car the whole way there.

“Good morning everyone!” Lucy exclaimed after they had finally gotten into the state of Alabama into the gulf shores area. As I looked out the window the clear blue water was on our left and the colorful houses were everywhere. As we continued to drive to our destination, the houses got further and further apart and the water became more visible. When we finally got to our house it was right across the road from the ocean and it was so beautiful. After we got settled into our house we finally ran out of the house and jumped into the ocean with the hot sun beating down on us. That day we spent the whole day in the ocean and doing fun things on the beach. After a long day of swimming and hanging out by the ocean we went back to the house and later that night Nadia and I snuck back to the ocean to see the beauty of the water and the sky. Later we hustled back to the house and found ourselves going back to the ocean every night.

Lauren on the other side of the state in hot and sunny Florida said, “I cannot wait to get on this huge ship” When we sailed away, we went to explore. We got lost so much. Day 2 of the Vacation we finally got to our port in Half Moon Cay, the water was so clear and blue. After that long day the next day we arrived in Turks and Caicos; it was so different there were stray dogs coming up to you and the part where we were all caught off guard was when we got in the car and we had to drive on the other side of the road. We explored so much, the island looked more on the poor side with not much character to it. The kids were at school when we passed and their playground was very rundown and as the kids were looking for an exit to leave. The last day was in the Dominican Republic; the vacation ended with sun poisoning.
