Anxiety
In the deepest recesses of a restless mind,
Where shadows dance and fears unwind,
Anxiety crouches, a relentless foe,
Its grip so fierce, its whispers grow.
Like a tempest within, it grips and writhes,
A cyclone of thoughts, where reason strives,
Each breath a suffocating weight to bear,
As uncertainty fills the tainted air.
Oh, anxiety, you artful trickster, so sly,
You steal away the colors of a vibrant sky,
And replace them with shades of doubt and dread,
A murky palette where joy is easily misled.
Invisible chains bind the heart so tight,
A constant battle, a relentless fight,
Feeding on worry, by day and night,
It gnaws at the core, devouring light.
But amidst despair, a flicker, a trace,
A glimmer of hope, a gentle embrace,
For courage resides in the depths of fear,
Defiant whispers that anxiety cannot hear.
So let us gather the fragments of our strength,
And rise like phoenixes, no longer spent,
We shall shed the cloaks of worry and dismay,
And embrace the uncertain, come what may.
For anxiety may haunt and cast its spell,
But within our souls, resilience dwells,
Through the darkest storms, we shall prevail,
And let our spirits soar, free from its jail.
Thus, anxiety, you shall not define,
The essence of who we truly are, sublime,
For within our hearts, a fire burns,
A testament to the resilience we have earned.

I wrote this poem because I want people to know that anxiety doesn't control us and that we are resilient and we got this. We don't have to let anxiety control us!
