Red Dress Girl
The mariachi band plays a lively jig
as the people glide all across the dance floor.
Everyone gliding and blending together
shades of midnight black, snow white, and charcoal grey blended together
like stars against the night sky.
Except for her.
She didn’t try to be the center of attention.
Yet she was.
My eyes couldn’t leave her.
Her bright strawberry red dress glistened in the darkness,
It was hard not to be entranced by her grace.
