Swaying
I look around,
And see you walking
Toward me,
Arms outstretched.
I smile and run to you,
Not caring about anything else.
I reach you and you wrap
Your arms around me,
Comforting and relaxing.
As we rock from side to side,
I sigh and think to myself
That nothing will ever
Separate us.
I open my eyes,
And watch you from across the room.
I want it to be real.
But I do not know
How you feel about me.
The teacher calls on me,
Breaking my concentration.
I answer and unconsciously
Start swaying from side to side.
