Snapchat
I'm staring at my phone for that one name to pop up
I refresh and refresh until my fingers feel numb
Finally, after hours of hopelessly waiting, I get a ding on my phone
It's him
My heart fills with anxious butterflies fluttering
My finger shaking, I open it
*A picture of the ceiling*
Why do I even try?
What's the point?
I'll never be enough for him
These thoughts all flood my head at once, it's obvious I should give up
But still, my heart can't let go
I snap him back with every part of me trying so hard to act like I don't care
The snap is sent and I wait for a response
The cycle starts again.
