Up on the Tallest Cliff
This island is a whimsical place.
Existing without care, my worries have dissolved
in the island’s sparkling warm waters.
It is lovely here, I will stay forever.
I sit up on the tallest cliff, observing.
The cloudy heavens are like a canvas
with every shade of white peacefully swimming.
The sky is beautiful here, I will stay forever.
The waters below glisten and shine in the light of day.
The static blue is like a mirror
reflecting the landscape with perfect precision.
The water is beautiful here, I will stay forever.
It’s all so beautiful but yet I sit
up on the tallest cliff, observing.
Maybe one day I will be free with the water.
But for now, I am planted in the dirt, stuck forever.
