Don't Crack Under Pressure
The controlling the rhythm of the game, winning the war.
The whole team in shock after a devastating ending.
The hundreds of thoughts filling the mind.
The new day arrives, move onto to the next game.
Back and forth scoring is nonstop, who will crack under pressure.
Highlight reel worthy plays one after another.
The crowd continuously getting louder after each play.
A timeout is finally called, water bottle crushing and heavy breathing awakens.
The chanting and chirping becomes blaring to the player’s mind.
Don’t crack under pressure.
The home team ended up winning the game by a hair.
The locker room turned into an erupting earthquake.
The players played through adversity, sorer than ever.
The very next day is an important conference game.
Recovery is key especially for another game tomorrow.
These conference games are too important to lose.
Dress up for school and once the bell rings, lock in.
