Do you see,

The trees,

The canopy of leaves,

The light as it wavers in sparkling seas?

Do you hear,

The creek,

The vines as they speak,

Under pathways so ancient they predate the Greeks?

Do you smell,

The air,

So crisp and so fair,

As it parts to permit the sun’s resolute glare?

Do you taste,

The ash,

Alight like the grass,

Wildfires galore as they roar and they gnash?

Do you feel,

The fear,

Of Earth’s demise near,

As nature is scorched under our cavalier?

And will you,

Prevent,

Through noble intent,

A time where our planet's last breath shall be spent?
