I Find Myself Yearning
The sky turns gray, the clouds start raining.
My heart smiles, and memories flash like lightning.
As the rain came down, I'd begun movie-watching and painting,
Or I'd stare at the rain hydrating the trees, which was so enlightening.
The lightening would strike, and the thunder would boom,
And plants' leaves would dance in the whooshing rain.
Species of flowers would use the water, as they were in bloom,
And offer food to the bees, that would return once again.
The grass would have a drink, and as the rain would die down,
The lightning would stop, and I’d take a look around.
The backyard birds began emerging and making their sound.
I smiled and waited for another day, whence the rain would be found.
