Opening the Door
We believe we are
who they say we are
But one casual mention
And I begin to question
Do I really claim
What I’ve been named
Am I normal enough
To pretend this stuff
Is who I am
I’m a walking scam
Lies leaking from my pores
Leaving few open doors
To be who I want
Her presence taunts
It’s her that I need
But what will you think of me
When I lay down my mask
Is it too much to ask
For you to accept me
And let me just be
In a world full of hate
You don’t have to relate
Make no mistake
I don’t want to be fake
But you had forced my hand
So here I stand
Please just let me
Be finally free
